Pantech has solidified its status as an IMD corporation through the continuous production and release of innovative, state-of-the-art premium smart phones in the Korean market under the VEGA brand. Since the 2010 launch of the first android smart phone in Korea, we have been spearheading innovation in the industry, producing smart phones equipped with the world’s first dual core processor and motion detection technology. We were also the first phone maker in Korea to produce a smart phone boasting full HD with a back side touch function, and created the Endless Metal (a single metal rim around the phone) design.
Pantech maintains a stable business structure through collaborations with major global corporations in overseas markets. In particular, we have proven our excellent quality level by maintaining the number one ranking for five consecutive years in the overall assessment of suppliers by AT&T, the largest mobile carrier in the United States. We have created several record-breaking, million-seller products reflecting local market needs, and have pioneered new categories such as the waterproof phone launched in Japan and the messaging phone in the United States. In addition, by launching LTE smart phones and tablets with Pantech’s unique, innovative technology in the global LTE market, which is rapidly expanding, we are once again showing our ability to adapt quickly to next generation mobile technology. Our technological strengths continue to grow, and are gaining recognition worldwide.
